" We must continue our efforts to carry our hopes into reality."
Here I am, a day after the memorial service. There has never been a time in history that the Great have gathered in one place. Salute. Salute. Salute.
I am proud, and prouder than ever to be living in the time and place where history is part of who I am.
Who am I? What is my footprint? Is it where its supposed to be?
These are the questions that have been burning in my heart since last friday.
As it happens, I was at a Leadership breakfast at the Wits Business School. Addressed by His Hounorable Minister Malusi Gigaba. He challenged us to create avanues of growth for our youth in South Africa. How do we be, how do we go on, everyday and be proud of ourselves, when the majority of our country is unemployed. Those who are, are just mere staff comlements and are not influencing the Socio-Economy nor Politics, neither mainstream Economy.
Then I moved on to The Gordons Business School for TEDx Woman. There I was again sitting and wondering, when does the talking turn into work. What are we realy teaching or imparting with our young ones. What realy needs to happen for our leadres(me included), to be where the crux of humanity.
Being, including doing is what we need, govermnet is an institution that is not givivng us anything what so ever. It is an institute that is administering our tax payers money, whilst our own are living in poverty.
It is right here, in Soweto. How is it that we say we are free, when we still have people in Soweto living without electricity. Without food.
I still want to appluade those that know they are making a difference, and ask you, you, you and you. What from here.
The challange is upon me and you, to impact in someone's life and make that difference.
Be the change you want to see in the World. Mahatma Gandhi.
What change are you making, not what are you talking about, but WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
Keep watching and see my footprint. Karabo Nompumelelo Makgoane aka Nubian Kush.
